Windy City Records, a Chicago based indie record label created
to provide a platform for up and coming bands, singers, songwriters
and artists in the Chicagoland area. We will help you put
together your promo kit, book gigs, record, press your CD
and most of all, get heard! Our Chicago based record label
has been in business for over 5 years helping bands and musicians.
WC Records roster and catalog shows our proven success as
being a solid foundation for bands to grow and become successful
in the music industry. Our in house designers and recording
professionals are available to help you create your image
and sound. The WC Records marketing and street teams will
help you get to music lovers ears. We also sponsor events
and host a variety of charity benefit concerts, which create
unique opportunities for our musicians. From our weekly Open
Mic Wednesdays at Gunther Murphy's to packed Double Door shows,
Windy City Records will get you heard!
Along with providing PROMOTIONS and BOOKINGS for the artists, Windy City Records will also assist with the PRODUCING, RECORDING, MARKETING, PRINTING, DUPLICATING, and DISTRIBUTION of all materials.

We are offering unsigned bands an opportunity work with an independent, grass-roots record label. Together we are working hard to achieve maximum exposure and visibility while expanding the Chicago music scene.
Windy City Records releases the Hostage Radio Compilation Album twice per year. This has proven to be a unique platform to showcase some of Chicago's top talent and to provide the listener with an eclectic verity of flavors. These compilation albums features 20 or more local bands from the Chicagoland area. There is definitely something for everyone on these discs. We also book a few live events at major venues showcasing these artists, so check out our upcoming events for more details.

City Media in order to more successfully serve the music industry.

We believe that in order to really help the musicians get
their music heard we must work together. It all starts
with the music, then as a team we work to achieve full visibility
for our artists. Each company brings something to the
table.
WC Records provides the musicians with recording, producing, marketing, booking, distribution, and printing while overseeing every aspect of the industry. Hostage Radio provides a platform for the artist to promote their music. The band gets to go live on the air and talk about their music. Plus the bands are introduced to the world of radio play and live interviews. Windy City Media provides the band with a full bio, stats sheet, press release, and cover page...everything to make a professional press kit. They have even gone as far as putting everything on one CD (Electronic Press Kit) that will make booking a venue a simple task. With the right tools the music business can be a fun and exiting industry. MonkFunk is an online music community designed to provide musicians with a network of other independent musicians. Online the musicians can post their music, schedule, bio, and links. The band even gets their own radio station with streaming audio.
